Manipur
The state of Manipur is rich in culture and heritage depicting its own traditions. The land is described as the” jewel of India” which lies south of Nagaland & north of Mizoram. The place is famous for its traditional dance form known as Manipuri. The Lai-Haraoba is also a well-known form of dance here. This particular dance is a symbolistic dance performed for peace and prosperity The land of Manipur is also termed as the mosaic of ancient traditions and culture. The crafts of the state include shawls and blankets making, cane and bamboo work, wood carving, hand-woven, and embroidered textiles, Manipuri dance doll, mats made of water reeds and the list goes on.
